Welcome to the Eastborough Police Department webpage. I am excited to serve the citizens of Eastborough as their Chief of Police. I encourage all of you to visit our website often, as my officers and I work with our web design staff to improve and update our site. I noticed that the listing of FOUND PROPERTY was very outdated. I created a more current listing to our web design staff. By keeping this list updated it is my hopes that when someone's property is found by the Police Department, it can be returned to the owner in a timely manner. This will help me, as I have limited space to store Property and Evidence.
If you didn't know, you can view the 'Crime Scene' section on our website, for a listing of crimes that have been reported to the Police Department. This is updated within one to two days after each monthly Council Meeting.
I would like to encourage all of you to take time and read the City Newsletter that will soon be arriving at your home. It will have a great deal of information that I hope everyone finds useful.
You can always contact me by phone or e-mail if you have any questions, suggestions or comments.
Sincerely,
Matthew Cox
Chief of Police
Eastborough Police Department
With the increase in crime in the surrounding Wichita area we will also see some increase here in Eastborough. With all of us working together, we can keep it to a minimum. Support your Police Department by informing the police of any suspicious activities, people or vehicles as quickly as possible so that a possible crime can be stopped before it happens.
Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the United States. In order to help you protect yourself against this type of crime, the Eastborough Police Department, in conjunction with the Federal Trade Commission, has brochures and booklets available that can help protect against having your identity stolen. The printed materials also provide you with all the information you need as to what to do if you become a victim of identity theft. If you would like to receive this information, come by City Hall between 9:00am to 5:00pm, or contact one of our Police Officers.
