Minutes
Anderson moved to approve the minutes of the February 26, 2008 meeting; Brown seconded; passed unanimously.
Claims
Brown moved to approve the Claims as of March 25, 2008; Anderson seconded; passed unanimously. Claims for March totaled $64,682.83.

Treasurer's Report
Treasurer reported that the revenues for February totaled $35,269 and expenditures totaled $123,671 resulting in a loss for the month of $88,402 and gain year to date of $192,920. Unencumbered cash and investments totaled $872,915 for 2008 as compared to $762,745 in 2007.
City Clerk's Report
- Kratzer reported that a $75,000 Treasury bill came due in February and was not renewed. A $330,000 Treasury bill came due in March. The City purchased three separate CDs for $100,000 each.
- Kratzer submitted the forms to Council to participate in the Kansas Municipal Investment Pool. Anderson moved to approve the Resolution to invest in the state program; Wagle seconded; passed unanimously.
- Kratzer reported that she had received an email from KDOT concerning the remaining proceeds of $7,053.51 in loan agreement, TRF Project No. TR0042, dated September 5, 2006. If the project is complete, they would like to redirect those funds. KDOT has asked that KDOT Form TRF 3 be completed and returned. The forms were completed and signed by the Mayor.
- Kratzer reported that Jamee Ross has volunteered to become chairman of the Community Affairs Committee and find people to host the children's events.
- The Court Clerk's mother-in-law passed away in St. Louis. A memorial gift was sent to the charity of choice.
- Kratzer asked the Council if they wanted to renew their membership in the Sedgwick County Association of Cities. Council instructed the clerk to renew the membership.
- Brada reminded the Council that a Special Election will be held in the City on May 6th to vote on the School Bond issue. Brada asked Council if they had noticed the white powder that has appeared on the wall along Kellogg.
City Attorney's Report
- Kratzer reported that Mr. Shinwari has appealed the District Court's conviction to the Kansas Court of Appeals
- Kratzer reported that the #15 Willowbrook was sold at a Sheriff's Sale and the property owner received an eviction order.

Police Chief's Report
- Chief asked if there were questions concerning his monthly report.
- Chief reported that Kim Lager has left the department and moved to New Orleans. Mike Cross has been hired to replace her.
- Chief reported that the application to harbor a therapy animal on an Eastborough property has been sent to Mrs. Brannon's attorney.

- Wagle reported that she will follow-up on the basement carpeting project.
- Wage reported that she and Anderson will follow-up on the bids for new furnace and air conditioning at City Hall.

Parks And Street Signs Commissioner's Report-David Anderson
Anderson reported:
- That the Street Sign Project has begun, but problems have come up concerning the alignment of the signs. The company is working to remedy the problem.
- Tree Top has put new mulch in the beds at the park near the pond. They also have put new mulch in the playground area.
- The sump pump at the pond failed during the winter and the pump for the waterfall has been damaged. A new sump pump and backup have been ordered and the pump is being repaired.
- Wildlife and Parks have been contacted to help resolve the over abundance of ducks at the pond.
