I would like to invite anyone who is interested to attend the Severe Weather Safety Program being held at Eastborough City Hall on February 26th at 6:30 PM. The Police Department has sponsored this program for a number of years. It is open to the public, so anyone can attend. I have always found them to be very informative and interesting. Several children have attended with their parents and always enjoyed it. The program will last approximately two hours. So once again, save the date, see you then.

As the holiday season is upon us, all too often we get so busy preparing for festivities with family and friends that we do not think of our personal safety. I would like to use this time to remind the citizens of our community and the surrounding area some safety tips.

Beginning this month, we will be installing new valley gutters across six intersections in order to fix drainage issues. These valleys will resemble the one that was installed last year at Mission and Huntington which fixed one of the worst of these problem intersections. These repairs should be relatively quick but we will need to close one end of several intersections for a few days in order to install the new valley gutters.
